World Art Dubai – an art exhibition where artists from across the whole world present their work. Russian sculpturer Irina Lagoshina has made Baba Yaga the main character of her creative art.
Lagoshina presented her for the first time at the modern art exhibition at the Miami Art Week in December 2017. The locals liked the sculpture so much that it was kept by the city as a decoration of the embankment in one of the upscale districts. Once again, the Russian Baba Yaga with her granddaughters – the twins Katia and Volga Korol' – went on to win over the world, filling it with goodness and cultural values. This time, they presented the art project at the international exhibition in Dubai.
The fairytale character was a no less hit and offered a whole presentation, having drawn the focus of the guests at the Dubai event. The sculpture became live and the real Yaga walked around the exhibition with her granddaughters. They came here to support Irina who created a work of art: a stylish bench with Runic inscriptions – an ancient script our ancestors used millennia ago. Sitting on the bench is the stone carving of the guardian of the hearth and the keeper of arcane knowledge.
The real Baba Yaga could not miss this event. She had flown in with gifts: for taking part in an opinion survey, the granddaughters Katia and Volga presented "media T-shirts". The unique print of such a T-shirt had an simple but elegant technological solution embedded in it. With the help of the "Galamagia" application, each participant could take away a part of the art project. Meanwhile, undoubtedly, the striking characters and the public favorites were the actors themselves who presented a coalescence of Slavic cultures and traditions at the exhibition.
